HELP – UPS Batteries

With virtually every data network we deploy, we install a UPS (uninterruptible power supply).  The function of this unit is to stabilise power to your network in case of power interruptions or supply fluctuations (“brown outs”).  This function is facilitated by an internal rechargeable battery.

Just like a car battery, the UPS battery has a limited lifespan which will be affected by the power quality in your area.  If your UPS starts to beep or show a red battery light, it likely needs a battery replacement.  Contact us to arrange a service call and we’ll have it back to normal, pronto!

Since 2019 we’ve started to deploy UPS units which connect to our cloud management interface.  If you have one of these units it will alert us when the battery needs replacement, so we’ll contact you to organise it.
